Puppies
Here are some puppies that Danica found near the old country house in which she is hoping to move the shelter. They are very cute, of course, and Danica, with a couple of people - her new neighbors, is trying to find those little guys homes.
At the vet's, and Sugi
A lots of new pictures, among them for all Danica's friends and donors to see how many kitties had to go for vet's visits in the past two weeks... Danica says that basically the vet's bills are the thing that keep on breaking her budget, because they are always expected, but at the same time always so sudden, and unexpected.
The first pictures are those of Sugi, and he has really come a long way since Danica found him all burnt, skinny and scared to death.
Milance is doing pretty good, considering his situation, but Danica did not send me any new pictures of him in this last batch.
Last, but not the least: one of the most wonderful books I have ever read in my life ( and I flatter myself to be really well read) - Homer's Odyssey, by Gwen Cooper. The book hard to put down, impossible to forget. I presume for all those who come to this blog and donate for Danica's kitties cats mean something in their lives. So, if that is the case, you do not want to miss this book!

Sugi is better

Hallo dear friends and donors,
I have not posted for quite some time for my 11 year old son was pretty sick - apparently swine flu! But, thank God, he is a healthy boy, so he just had to go through it, and pull himself without any special medicine, and he did!
Sugi is much, much better, and his skin is healing . Little Milance is , more or less, good, for now. We all know how , from time to time, his little stumps get infected. Danica might have a new donor for some kind of a little device that would help Milance move easier, and not hurt the stumps any longer.
Here is a very special news: Danica is moving the shelter to the countryside! This has been in cooking for several months now, but she did not want to say anything, for she was afraid that it would all fall through the cracks. Well, it did not this time! There is a friend of hers, who does not want to be identified, who recently bought an old house in the country, and is giving it to Danica to use for the shelter, as long as she wants. This is absolutely great news, because the cats will be much, much safer there. It is a very quiet and friendly place, with two neighbors on each side, and not very close, and a lots of fields of corn and flax! The place, however, needs to be fixed in order to house cats, fixed big time. So, whoever can donate, Danica wants you to know that a big portion of the money will go to prepare a news shelter for the kitties , bigger, nicer, and much, much safer(unless some new emergency vet needs).
I will post more new photos tomorrow

Sugi
Here is a new stray, that Danica called Sugi when she saw him for the first time, because he looked like he was all mangy. When she got hold of him, and took him to the vet, it turned out he was burnt. She does not want even to think how it might have happened.
There are photos of him getting infusion, (note how his little pads are red, and also the tip of his tail that has no fur), and then Danica gave him a proper bath, because he was poopy, from fear. Never ending story on new strays, scared, wounded, hurt, abused...
To cheer up everyone, I am also posting pictures of Lizan and Okac, cleaning each other, cuddling, bonding... Very cute.
As you can see, vet bills never get any smaller.
I will keep you posted on poor Sugi.

Sleeping patterns

Some of these pictures are absolutely hard to believe - only kitties can roll themselves like that, twist and scroll, wind and turn! So, here are Danica's cats , sleeping!
Your help is needed, as always. Danica is trying to take proper care of many, many strays, and she needs every bit of your precious and appreciated help. Thank you!
