Two new kitties already spayed

I am posting pictures of two new young females that Danica managed to get fixed - they are currently in the shelter recovering well. The rest of the pictures are mostly regular shelter tenants - new photos though, and also one brand new kitty face that showed up - it is the one outside, eating with the black one. I do not understand how Danica keep track of them!

The white beauty is Ciarra - Bella; the story goes like this: few years ago Danica found her half dead , with a nail in part of her head. She urgently took her to the vet, where she was taken care of, and fortunately, her brain was not injured. Danica took care of her for months and months, days and nights, and eventually found a wonderful home for her! She visited her very recently and took some pictures.

By the way - Danica spent $ 220. on two operations, and food that Viktor brought from Hungary. Fortunately, she is expecting a donation.

Two more kitties to be spayed

I am just adding pictures of the two new cats to be spayed - there are three altogether, and the picture of the third one is bellow, in the previous post. The gray cat.

Luckily, it seems like Danica will have money for this!

Picture of Marponi's little resting place

Several cats were present when Danica was burying Marponi. It is under this little Christmas tree. It seemed the cats knew.

In the meantime, there were 5 new young females some of which seem to be pregnant. Danica was horrified (there is no way she can afford new kitties), but fortunately a nice lady is sending a donation, so Danica will take them (at least three of them right now), to be spayed. Those are, it seems, early pregnancies, so that should not be problem. Anyway, it has to be done.

It is different when new kitten simply shows up - she takes him or her in, and nurtures him, and eventually fixes him. But, if the pregnancies can be stopped, it has to be done.

Sad news on Marponi

Good, old Marponi was put to sleep this morning at the vet's office. Eventually, Danica was forced to do it, because he was starting to be in pain, and simply just disappearing every moment, in front of her eyes...

She was very, very sad, crying on her bike, driving back from the clinic. She buried him under a small Christmas tree. She gave Marponi a nice, warm, safe, cozy year in which he felt loved and cared for, yet she is so sad.

The pictures are just couple of days before he died.

Good, old Marponi, he was such a fighter. May he rest in peace, somewhere, in the kitty Heaven.

News from the shelter

Just few pieces of news: Okac has been under new treatment for his eye, Marponi still alive but barely, and several cats having skin conditions. Danica has been bathing them en mase, which you can just imagine! Is there anything as complicated as giving cat a bath?! Well, she does it, on the regular basis.

She herself has been recovering very slowly from a very, very bad flu. I also was late this month with my regular donation, so she had to borrow money to buy food (picture attached). I finally managed to send money, so hopefully part of it can go for vet's bills.

Oh, yes; another miserable, abandoned puppy she had picked up. She is, though, pretty sure she can find him a home.

Never ending story.
