Farewell, my little one

It’s with deep sorrow and profound grief that I sadly announce the passing of my dear Apra. She has been struggling with her health issues for almost two years until she simply couldn’t fight anymore. She died quietly, peacefully and apparently without pain. I held her and she purred till her last breath. I guess she knew her time had come.

Apra was a tiny cat with the big heart. She was one of the most courageous and persistent kitties I’ve ever seen, with a strong desire to live. She fought valiantly for such a long time, to no avail. Her exhausted little body just couldn’t take it anymore. She didn’t want to fight anymore.

Her age doesn’t matter now. Her problems don’t matter. All that matters is that she is gone. Her death has left a huge hole in my heart and I don’t think I’ll ever stop grieving. After all, grief is the final expression of love, the last gift I have to offer.

She was one in a million.

May she rest in peace.

I see you have comment moderation on. Please consider turning it off so readers can comment. many, many of us can not read this new form. Some bloggers are not aware they even have wv on. I will try to leave this for the sake of Apra.

Sorry to have to enable comment moderation but I have already had to delete some nasty comments on my blog (about cat soup, for instance). I'd also like to stem the tide of irrelevant and poorly written commercial solicitations. I guess we all want to prevent spamming and trolling.
